Ostap Manulyak

Ostap Manulyak was born in Lviv in 1983. Studied composition at Mykola Lysenko Lviv State Music Academy (composition: prof. Viktor Kaminsky, orchestration: prof. Myroslav Skoryk). During 2001 - 2004 received the Stanislav Lyudkevych’s scholarship.
In 2005 took part at master-class for contemporary music of Ensemble “Recherche” (Freiburg, Germany).
In 2006 won a “Gaude Polonia” scholarship of Ministry of Culture and National Treasure of Polish Republic. Studied composition with prof. Zbigniew Bujarski at Krakow Music Academy.
Since 2007 – became a member of National Union of Composers of Ukraine.
In 2009 received award of LODA and National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
In 2010 recieved the Levko Revutsky’s award for compositions “Music for Second Chapter of Gospel of Luke” and “Oremus fratres”.
In 2011 a second time won the “Gaude Polonia” scholarship of Ministry of Culture and National Treasure of Polish Republic, and studied at Studio of Electroacoustic Music at Krakow Music Academy (curator: prof. Marek Choloniewski).
In  march of 2012 took part at First Kyiv International Master-classes for New Music. Also during 2001 – 2012 took part in many master-classes of new music with such composers as: Edward Hart (USA), Sergej Newski (Russia-Germany), Serhiy Pilyutikov (Ukraine), Boguslaw Schäffer (Poland), Yuval Shaked (Israel-Germany), Gerhard Stäbler (Germany), Trevor Weston (USA), Wojciech Widlak (Poland).
Works by Ostap Manulyak was performed in many festivals of contemporary music and international music projects in Germany, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Ukraine and USA.
