Clotilde Lacroix is a musician devoted to chamber and ensemble music. She has been progressing in various musical universes such as theater, musical creations and performances on period instruments.
Clotilde is a member of Le Balcon, a transdisciplinary ensemble. She participated in Pierrot Lunaire from Arnold Schönberg and staged by Nieto, she also recorded Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique in a free adaptation from Arthur Lavandier for Alpha Classics and she participated in the creation of Michael Levinas fourth opera La métamorphose for the Musica Strasbourg festival. More recently, she has played in Karlheinz Stockhausen, Donnerstag aus Licht in Opera comique followed by Samstag aus Licht in Philarmonie de Paris. She also has played in les Quatre chants pour franchir le seuil by Gérard Grisey with Barbara Hannigan at Lille Opera.
In residence with the Singer Polignac Foundation, Clotilde is interpreting a chamber music repertoire with voices within the ensemble Maja. They won first price in Fnapec competition in April 2018.
In her Master degree at the Royal Conservatory in Den Haag, Clotilde has strength skills for playing on period instruments. Therefore, she jas been playing with classical ensembles such as Les Siècles, Le Cercle de l’Harmonie, Insula Orchestra and ancient music ensembles like Les Cris de Paris, La Tempête or La Fenice.
As a founding member of The Hague string variations, she has performed in Holland : Konzertgebouw, Muziekgebouw, Grachten Festival Amsterdam, Tivoli Vredenburg, Kamermuziek Festival Utrecht and also on television and radio, in programs such as VPRO Vrije Geluiden and Radio4 NL
Clotilde has been invited to play with the Rotterdam Philarmonic, the Nederlands Kamerorkest and she used to be part of the Philarmonie Zuidnederland.
