Pierre Boulez supported the early days of Le Balcon, both artistically and personally. The young performers who took part in his masterclasses on Le Marteau sans maître remember them as if they were yesterday. In August 2025, to mark the centenary of Pierre Boulez, Le Balcon will perform …explosante-fixe… and Sur Incises at the Salzburg Festival. Julie Brunet-Jailly will play the MIDI flute part, alongside Claire Luquiens and Matteo Cesari. For Sur Incises, the ensemble will feature Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, Chae Um Kim, and Alphonse Cemin (pianos); Clara Izambert, Chloé Ducray, and Coline Jaget (harps); François-Xavier Plancqueel, Benoît Maurin, and Akino Kamiya (percussion).
